Fisker’s Project Ronin Is Actually A Four-Door Convertible EV

Just two days after the official announcement of Project Ronin, Fisker is back with more bits of information about their upcoming fully electric sports GT. As revealed in the latest teaser that exposes its four-seat cabin, the Ronin will have a unique four-door convertible bodystyle.

While the previous sketch appeared to show a fixed roof, we now see the EV in its topless configuration. This will make it the only convertible in the market with four doors, allowing easier access for rear passengers. Mind you, Fisker has described the interior as luxurious, sustainable and vegan.

Besides the bodystyle, Henrik Fisker shared some additional specifications for the upcoming EV. The target range is 600 miles (966 km), a number that is even more optimistic than the  “over 550 miles (885 km)” quoted in the previous announcement. Still, it remains to be seen if the final product will achieve its goal of having “the world’s longest range for a production EV”.

Project Ronin will be fitted with three electric motors offering all-wheel-drive, and an estimated 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) acceleration close to the 2-second mark. According to Fisker, the blistering performance won’t affect range which appears to be a priority for the luxury sporstcar.

The new model will be revealed in August 2023, with production starting in the second half of 2024. Fisker is targeting a starting price of just under $200,000. The Project Ronin will be the third addition to Fisker’s EV range, next to the new Ocean SUV, and the upcoming Pear.
