Lamborghini Huracan JV Stradale Will Be A More Subtle Version Of The Unhinged STO

A new variant of the Lamborghini Huracan is just around the corner and is expected to be dubbed the JV Stradale.

Spied for the very first time during winter testing in Northern Europe, the Huracan JV Stradale is thought to be a slightly tamer version of the extreme Huracan STO but lacks some of that car’s outlandish aerodynamic components. It is, therefore, expected to be somewhat similar in philosophy to the Porsche 911 GT3 Touring.

Found at the front of the Huracan prototype is a unique front bumper that isn’t quite as outlandish as that of the STO. While this prototype also has a large LED light bar mounted to the bonnet, that obviously won’t find its way into production. These spy shots also show the car with a set of eye-catching five-spoke wheels sitting over a set of carbon-ceramic brakes with black calipers.

Viewed from the rear, the Huracan JV Stradale lacks the aggressive engine cover of the STO as well as that’s car’s rear wing. Instead, it adopts a rear wing more similar to that of the pre-facelift Huracan Performante. The rear diffuser of the STO appears to have been carried over to the JV Stradale without any changes.

In all likelihood, the JV Stradale will have the same powertrain as the STO. That means a 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V10 with 631 hp and 417 lb-ft (565 Nm) of torque. It should also be rear-wheel drive and will no doubt weigh less than a standard Huracan Evo.

This isn’t the only new variant of the Lamborghini Huracan that will be presented this year. The Italian car manufacturer is reading a jacked-up variant dubbed the Sterrato that will have increased ground clearance, tweaked bumpers, skid plates, and all-terrain tires. Unlike the STO and JV Stradale, it will likely retain the all-wheel-drive system of the standard model.
