Jeep Adds Special Gobi Sand Beige Paint Option To 2022 Wrangler And Gladiator Lineup

Jeep has announced the addition of a new shade of beige to the Wrangler lineup called “Gobi.” Previously offered on the Gladiator in 2020 (and never before seen on the Wrangler), the color makes its highly anticipated return for the 2022 model year.

“Customization is at the core of both Jeep Gladiator and Jeep Wrangler,” said Jim Morrison, senior vice president and head of the Jeep brand North America. “Gobi is the fifth special-edition color the Jeep brand has offered on the current generations of Gladiator and Wrangler, in addition to Tuscadero, Gecko, Nacho, and Chief, all of which strengthen the enthusiastic identity of our loyal and avid Jeep community.”

Named after the Gobi Desert, which covers parts of southern Mongolia and Northern China, the color joins the lineup of special-run colors like Tuscadero, a shade of pink so popular that its availability was extended, Jeep announced in December.

“We expected Tuscadero to be popular and the customer response has been overwhelmingly strong,” said Morrison at the time. “It’s so popular, we’re extending production into 2022 model-year to meet strong customer demand. Customers can place an order through December of this year.”

Gobi, meanwhile, will be available to order from now through June at an MSRP of $495. The color can be ordered on all Gladiator and Wrangler models, including the Sport, Sahara, Mojave, Rubicon, 4xe, and 392.
