Ferrari Shows Its New Daytona SP3 Racehorse

When it seems that there is a pause in the world of automobile design and there appear monotonous bodies and there is nothing that could surprise a sophisticated car enthusiast, the professionals of their business under the brand Ferrari enter the arena and show their racehorse Daytona SP3.

Naturally, the Daytona SP3 will not suit everyone, even those who are ready to shell out $2.2 million for the car. In fact, it’s a true race car, powered by the naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 that previously powered the Ferrari 812 Superfast, but on the SP3 it has been upgraded and refined to about 829 hp (609 kW).

The driving pleasure will be real and unforgettable, as you will be alone with this race car to conquer race tracks, as Ferrari has taken care of the lack of various hybrid setups to this V12, and also equipped the Daytona with hydraulic steering. Also in this car you will not find any elements of active aerodynamics, only unchanged body geometry will cope with the oncoming flow of oncoming air.

The car’s design is reminiscent of a compilation of the refreshed thoroughbred silhouettes of the ’70s and ’80s racing cars from Ferrari. Legends of racing tracks as if they came to life and met in one image at the same time, and Daytona SP3 appeared in this symbiosis. Just look at the front wings, for example, and they resemble a mix of shapes a bit from the 512S and a bit from the 712 CAN AM, which was the only model of its kind with an engine of about seven liters that debuted in the Imola Interserie race on May 2, 1971 with Merzario at the wheel. The lattice stripes not only decorate the rear but also play an important role in the car’s aerodynamics, having been carried over here from the 1968 Ferrari 250 P5 Pininfarina concept.

The Daytona SP3 has a removable carbon fiber Targa roof section, which may please passionate convertible fans. The car also has butterfly doors that open upward. Designers quite interestingly integrated into the hood an expressive aerodynamic radiator grille, resembling a kind of spine, through the slits of which the most powerful V12 is looking through.

Undoubtedly, the Ferrari Daytona SP3 is incomparable and quite worthy of exclusivity.
Anyway, the last vote is up to the connoisseurs of the brand and collectors, who vote with their wallets. Who knows, maybe you are one of them?
